Hong Kong Technology Advancement Group (HKtag) held our first “Open Data Hackathon” (ODH) since 2021 and annually with Open Data Hackathon Prize Presentation Ceremony at the end of the project period. This year, we focus on the topic of Smart Living, again for ODH 2024 due to its popularity with more areas for contestants to consider and create. We aim to allow our participants to utilize the open data available on the Open Data Portal and Hong Kong Common Spatial Data Infrastructure Portal, and see how the industry experts make effective use of open data to improve public utility services. We hope to see our participants make use of the open data resources from the Government, AI and cloud technologies to compose their solutions. With collective efforts and intelligent concepts among participants, together we can create a smarter and more advanced city.
